We would be happy to meet with you and give you a tour of our center! Trinity Preschool started in 1969 by Trinity Lutheran Church to meet the growing child care needs of the community. Our program is owned and operated by Trinity Lutheran Church and is housed in the lower level of Trinity Lutheran Church, 210 7th St South in Moorhead, Minnesota. We share our preschool spaces with the religious education of the church. Trinity Preschool is licensed by the Department of Human Services of the State of Minnesota. (651) 296-3971 Our children are grouped according to these licensing standards. We are licensed for 11 toddlers, 40 preschool, and 40 kindergarten through 4th grade - a total of 91 children ages 16th months through 4th grade (or age 10). The adult to child ration is 1:15 for school-age children, 1:10 for preschool, and 1:5 for toddlers. Groups are formed according to age groupings and do not exceed group size. Trinity Preschool is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Early Education centers who wish to become NAEYC accredited enroll in a 4 step process which involves self study (reflecting on our practices and making changes) in 10 distinct areas of care, application, candidacy, and final validation visit. This process can take 2-4 years and the certification is good for 5 years with an annual report submitted that indicates further improvements taken and maintenance of quality standards. You can find out more information at www.naeyc.org. Our hours of operation are 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday. We are closed for major holidays and close early for Christmas and New Year’s Eve. Trinity Preschool does not discriminate in its admission or dismissal policies on the basis of race, gender, religion, ethnicity, national origin, or source of payment. We accept both MN and ND child care assistance. Trinity Preschool participates in the MN Department of education food and Nutrition Program. All meals served meet the nutritional guidelines set forth by the USDA Child Nutrition Program. “In accordance with federal law and U.S. Dept. of Agriculture policy, this institution is prohibited from discriminating on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability. To file a complaint, write the USDA Director, Office of Civil Rights, 1400 Independence Ave, SW Washington, DC 20250-9410 or call 1-800-795-3272 (voice) or (202) 720-6382 (TTY). USDA is an equal opportunity provider and employer.” Our program follows the Creative Curriculum for Infant, Toddlers, and Preschoolers.
