Team Leader Job Description Thanks for agreeing to serve as a Team Leader for Trinity's Habitat Project. We greatly appreciate your support. As a team leader you are responsible to: 1. Gather a team of 6 workers (including yourself)- skilled and/or unskilled to work one day or a half day on the Habitat house. • If your team is willing to work another day we would be more than happy to put you on the schedule. • Send me the names of your team members so we do not duplicate requests to work. 2. Have team members bring construction tools as directed by Habitat committee (probably hammers and hand tools) 3. Be prepared to work up to 7 hours (often quit by 2 pm) on the day you selected. • If you want to work a half day that would be great - but please let me know so we can plan volunteers accordingly. 4. Motivate team positively- so your work day can be enjoyed by all and team members can visualize their service as ministry- Trinity's Habitat logo is DMAD - "Disciples Making a Difference". 5. Check on team members during the work day to make sure they are safe, well hydrated, fed, equipped for their task, getting breaks as needed, and staying positive about their work experience. 6. Creatively consider a team identifier and/or name- like matching bandana's, t-shirts, work hats or pins. The possibilities are endless. This will identify your team to coordinators and other workers while you are working. Hopefully we can have some affirmation, support and fun with this. 7. Remind team members of the day and time they committed to work. We will also have calling chain volunteers assisting with this.
